This is my life saver tea time treat for last minute guests. I just call them berry crumble bars as you can use fresh or frozen berries and any berries you choose. The magic lies in the dual purpose mix which changes texture when pressed into the base but is light and crunchy when loosely sprinkled on top. Best of all it is a blender made miracle ready to bake in minutes. Time for tea anyone ? 💜💜

Food styling is like stepping into another world for some of us creatives. After my mum passed away I found I could escape into a world of endless creativity where I could create something as beautiful and ever changing like a butterfly. 🦋 My daughters and I have a strong feeling of connection with butterflies and they are so understanding and patient with me when I start a food styling project and often lend a helping hand to make the process even more enjoyable. When life gives you lavender it’s time to get creative in the kitchen 💜 When you spend an afternoon surrounded by lavender it’s almost impossible to avoid baking lavender infused treats like these lemon Bundt cakes infused with lemon and lavender syrup. I love strawberries in my salads as they add a pop of sweetness and a vibrant colour to your table. You can slice the strawberries and toss them with greens like lettuce or spinach. Just to demonstrate how easy it is to put together a tart in minutes if you have all the elements made in advance 🥰 I made these all the night before: chocolate shortcrust pastry shell and the white chocolate mascarpone filling.
