Have you had enough of entertaining but still fancy some company? Then a charcuterie board is the answer 🥰 There is nothing I love more than the fire lighting, an evening with friends and the conversation flowing but without hours of work involved. With a bit of imagination you can put together a board in no time. It can easily be made in advance so when that doorbell rings all you need to do is pop open the vino ❤️🍷

January is one of those months you either love or hate. Love because it gives us an excuse to hibernate and to recharge our batteries. Hate because it feels like it’s the longest and coldest month of the year. Orange season is my favourite fruit season of the year 🧡 Oranges are so versatile to cook with and can be used in any meal of the day. I particularly like them in savoury dishes although I wouldn’t say no to an orange tart 😉I can never walk past an orange tree without admiring it’s beauty 🧡🍊I’m lucky to have a blood orange tree in my garden and to hand pick them as and when I need them. That is until they have all been eaten 😉

We all have times of the year when we are busier than others and we really need to focus on our health to lower the stress levels. My feet haven’t touched the ground in the last month like many of you and I find juicing has been a godsend. Today is the day we can all relax with our leftovers, go for a brisk walk and still enjoy the Christmas season ❤️ I have always loved St Stephen’s Day as you still feel it’s Christmas and the celebrations aren’t over yet. Yesterday we started the day with a Christmas Day swim and while it was cold it was super refreshing and a great start to our day! Christmas Eve is one of my favourite days of the y

Christmas Eve is one of my favourite days of the year. For most people it’s prepping day but we did ours yesterday as we celebrate our main meal tonight. Years ago when living in Paris we followed tradition with cooking and celebrating the big meal on Christmas Eve. We loved it so much as we felt so relaxed in Christmas Day and could really enjoy being with the kids instead of being in the kitchen so we’ve been doing it ever since 🥰 So now all the prep is done for tonight and with my helpers all home from uni it was all hands on deck yesterday in the kitchen and it’s the most relaxed I’ve felt in years ❤️ We all have our traditions and I’m sure yours will be amazing too 🎄

But it has to have spice or something to distinguish it from ordinary hot chocolate made with good quality chocolate…. We finally got the keys to our new home in Ireland so we can spend a lot more time there ❤️ I’ve missed my friends and family and it’s a dream to go back to a place I can truly call home. I’m not sure about you but I am finding this autumn we are still in summer. I can’t remember it being so warm this late and there is no sign of autumn here let alone winter. I’m still late with the pumpkin cooking as I can’t get into the mood with temperatures like this. So we are still in Mediterranean mode for breakfast with these delicious whipped ricotta and feta toasts topped with Iberico ham and figs drizzled with honey. Happy summer I mean autumn 🍁☀️

This shot took less than 10 minutes to set up and 5 minutes to shoot on timer mode. No baking or food prep required. Just a bottle of yogurt drink, a packet of cookies and a few lumps of ice. Add a camera, tripod, backdrop and flash and voila! Then composite and edit in @lightroom and @photoshop to produce the perfect splash image 😃
